You will receive the Finder's contact details via email. You can then contact the finder to organize the handover.

Why finderness? A label with my address does it too.
That is fundamentally correct. However, consider: What if someone z. B. finds your keychain and then knows your name and possibly even your address ?! With finderness, the owner remains completely anonymous. You will get the contact details of the finder, but the finder will never get yours! Your sensitive data remains protected and you decide how to contact the finder.
Why is there an 8-digit code on the label?
A finder can enter this code directly on the finderness.de website if, contrary to expectations, the scanning of the QR code does not work. This ensures that a find report is possible at any time.
Are the labels sturdy enough?
Yes, it is a particularly weather-resistant and abrasion-resistant material that is produced by our partner for finderness. The labels also have an extremely high adhesive strength, but should nevertheless only be stuck on clean and grease-free surfaces.
Is it difficult to remove the labels from the label sheet?
The labels are a very thin, but equally flexible and robust film material with special adhesive. Peel off the labels carefully and slowly, even if it may take a little patience on the first try. If some backing material remains on one side when detaching, please try from the opposite side and so remove it from the backing material.
The easiest way to remove individual labels is to first completely remove the surrounding film area. To do this, start at a corner (e.g. top left) and remove the film evenly. This leaves only the labels on the carrier material.
What format are the labels?
The labels are just as big as necessary. In the rectangular format 29 x 16 mm and round with a diameter of only 22 mm.
Does finderness only work with the supplied trailers?
No - you can use any pendant you like. It is crucial that the QR code and / or the 8-digit code are clearly recognizable. And of course it is also possible to glue your objects directly.
How should the label be attached to the key fob?
It works very simply: the pendants are delivered to you in a small bag. On the outside there is a short manual that explains in 4 steps how to correctly affix the tags to the labels:
1) Pull out the protective film + paper strips
2) Stick the rectangular finderness label as centrally as possible on the paper strip
3) Put paper strips (with protective film over them) in the trailer
4) Pull the metal ring (included separately) through the small hole - done!
Then followers with finderness label z. B. on a keychain, on a suitcase, on a laptop bag etc.
Am I actually obliged to pay a finder's fee?
In fact, this is clearly regulated in the Civil Code. Just as a finder is obliged to return a lost or found item to the owner, the owner must pay the finder a fee:
The payment of the finder's fee is therefore to be regulated between the owner and the finder. The statutory finder's fee in Germany (§ 971 BGB) is for things up to a value of EUR 500: 5% of the value. Above a value of EUR 500: 5% of the value plus 3% of the added value. In animals 3% of the value.
Of course, you are free to voluntarily increase the finder's fee. After all, not only the purely financial value of the item is relevant. The finder should also be reimbursed for all costs that may be incurred for the handover / return of the item (e.g. shipping and packaging costs).
Your page is displayed strangely with Internet Explorer. Why is that?
We recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or the new Edge from Microsoft. The older Internet Explorer is still shipped with Windows, but Microsoft itself recommends switching to Edge. With higher performance and improved functions. Edge then has no problem displaying a modern page architecture like that of finderness perfectly.
